Well thank you to all the IDIOTS who used to race around the Tesco Havant car park. We now have to endure speed bumps.

And the amswer is......don't do Tesco, unless you really want to pay more than ASDA, Aldi and Lidl. Plus Tesco quiche is rubbish compared to Lid's as we recently found out.

Ah the old Asda/Tesco/Aldi/Lidl debate  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

Our own experience found Asda stuff never seemed to last as long, Aldi/Lidl suppose to be the same as the top brands but with a different name but in reality normally tasted totally different. Tesco, quality seems stable but watch them for dodgy pricing structures watch out for that and you can get some cracking bargains.

The only real way to get the ultimate deal is to shop a bit here and a bit there, but who wants to do that, so folks shop in one place, however you have to play their game. So when Tescos has a BOGOF on 750g of cornflakes we'll max out on them, I've seen over 20 boxes stacked up the Mrs's has bought, well whats not to like  Cool

Don't think we've ever bought our coffee on full price either as we max that out when its on special. That's the key to play their game to get the best deal you can, its the folks that don't check things like the price of a multipack can be more than the items on their own  Rolling Eyes

Very true Fur mate, we do it too particularly with expensive stuff like meat and cheese (yes I refuse to have cheap cheese with no taste). Must say however that we rarely have quality problems with Lidl and when we do like a pasty with gristle in a fornight ago, I always kick up and Lidl have always refunded me or sent a token fiver. Now as it happens Lidl have pork leg on offer (3/kg) this week so I will be buying two or three to bung in the freezer. Just in case DF dives in, no I don't care where it comes from.

Does the bus go round there then? As you travel mainly on public transport.

Yes, the buses from Hayling stop at the end of Solent Road. I occasionally scrounge a lift to Tesco Havant.
